Delphonian Heraldry

After stewing in a creative funk for a bit, I decided to design more fluff for my world of Planeta. You can find the corresponding castles on the world map here: [link]

The symbols belong to the following in clockwise order, starting with the green snakey thingy.

CASTLE BOGLASH: The Northernmost Castle in Delphos. The surrounding dutchy is the slipsling marsh, crawling with monsters and entirely uninhabitable. A former lord of the castle once had a green drake living in his moat, hence the symbol. No one is sure whether it's still down there.

CASTLE WHITESHIRE: Ironicly the only Castle in Delphos without an official dutchy. Their symbol is a rearing unicorn; a former lady of the castle was healed by one in Nox.

CASTLE TONNERHALL: A southern castle nested in the roots of the Blackspire Mountains. The lords of this castle are the last great Griffon tamers, and consequently are also fabulously wealthy.

CASTLE WOODBRIGHT: The only Castle to have a completely forested dutchy, subsequently named Woodbright forest. Historically, the reigning lords of Woodbright have close ties with the Istahni. Their symbol is a bare tree under a crescent moon.

CASTLE GOLDCROSS: The only structure remaining before the reign of King Darius. Named after an incident where a knight overthrew the current lord, who had been taxing his people to starvation. The corrupt lord was crucified on timbers plated with gold. Their symbol, surprise surprise, is a gold cross.

CASTLE ORBECK: A castle with the largest dutchy in all of Delphos. The land was gifted to the reigning lord after he aided greatly in overthrowing the corrupt Order of Light during the War of Two Thrones. Their symbol is the first flower of spring.

CASTLE TRIDGESTEAD: This castle houses a great line of warriors. One of the founders of the castle was rumored to have killed a lion with his bare hands and ate the heart afterwards. Their symbol is a great Black Lion, and it's no wonder the sons of the ruling lords bear the surname "Lionhearted".

CASTLE GREYWATER: The only Castle with lands that border both Nox and Murkend. The castle supplies diplomats and scholars to the capital, who are greatly learned of the two bordering kingdoms. Their symbol is the Salmon, the Fish of Knowledge.

Aaaand in the Center is the symbol of the ROYAL ELVISH HOUSE: Established several hundred years ago, the elves brought peace to the warring lords of Delphos. Their symbol is a snow goose in mid-flight; the animal was beloved of the first ruler, King Darius.
